Living Free Together , Cattle Run Farm , Va Career Works, and Minority Veteran Farmers of the Piedmont, are joining forces to host the 2025 Stomp - Salute to the Soil in Greene County. This is an empowering event honoring the service and sacrifice of those who serve us by helping them to understand the power of farming and the healing potential of nature. This event will take place at Cattle Run Farm in Ruckersville on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:30pm-4:30pm.

Due to the generous donations of local businesses, this community event is being offered at no cost to veterans and first responders. There will be a low fee for community and family members.
The Stomp- Salute to the Soil will offer country music, line dancing, line dancing lessons for all ages, crafts, a petting farm, workshops in beekeeping, livestock and poultry raising, and gardening tips from master gardeners and generational farmers in this area. This engaging atmosphere will encourage our community to gather together around the gifts that nature can provide.
Living Free Together, provides year-round programs and workshops for Military Families in the greater Charlottesville and Greene County areas. Through local and national partnerships, LFT has been offering life giving emotional support and community to Military Families since 2015. All Veterans, first responders, and their family members are welcome and encouraged to join our programs.
