We received this message "I was on a poker run yesterday and lost my helmet off the back of my bike somewhere in town! I’m from Lincoln. It’s a black half face helmet with some stickers on it. Towanda, secrets in the sauce and the brutal poodle. Lol are some of the stickers. Thank you" Please let me know if you found it and I will respond to the sender.

Hi my name is Chris Eckles, I'm a long time resident of Seward County, I graduated from Seward High in the early nineties went on to Southeast Community College in Milford for automotive technology, worked as a mechanic for many years at Herpolsheimer's in Seward, then worked as a service manager for many years, my wife Megan and I purchased an acreage about 3 years back just outside of Staplehurst and loving country living. I'm looking forward to working with and for the Village residents of Staplehurst.

ATTENTION VILLAGE RESIDENTS: NPPD will be replacing a pole Monday (June 16th), the village will be without power for approximately 4-5 hours. Additionally, plan for short-term outages over the next 2 to 3 weeks.

We're making it easier for you to connect with your Village Clerk! Starting Saturday, June 7th, the Village Clerk will be available:
📅 Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This change is all about serving YOU better and making village services more accessible when it works with your schedule! Whether you need to handle paperwork, ask questions, or discuss village matters, the Village Clerk will be available bright and early on Saturday mornings.
Can't make it on Saturday? No problem! We're still happy to schedule appointments outside of regular hours to accommodate your needs.
