I tried a new technique today…

I’ve been wanting to use the paint knives I got a while ago, and every time I tried before, I wasn’t happy with the results.

Today, I tackled the big elephant mostly with my paint knives, then finished it with a paintbrush. It definitely wasn’t perfect, but it turned out better than I expected.

Next time, I think I’ll try mountains and a lake. Not too shabby for having a toddler crawling all over me and “helping” paint. 🎨🩵💖🤣

It got me thinking…

Learning something new rarely looks polished at first. Whether it’s painting, gardening, or learning how to manage your money, the first few attempts usually feel awkward. But every brushstroke, every mistake, and every small improvement teaches you something the next attempt can’t exist without.

Building wealth works much the same way. It isn’t usually one giant masterpiece painted in a day. More often, it’s layer after layer of consistent decisions that gradually create something beautiful over time.

Sometimes progress looks messy. Sometimes it has tiny fingerprints all over it. 😉 But if you keep showing up and keep learning, you’ll often surprise yourself with what you’re able to create.
