A few pictures from a beautiful weekend! We enjoyed elk viewing in Benezette on Friday despite some rain. If you haven’t experienced Benezette, it’s beautiful this time of year and you can simply enjoy the visitor center and walk around the grounds for free. It’s a nice educational trip you can enjoy for little cost minus travel. There are options like a horse drawn wagon ride and elk education movie you can purchase as well as numerous items in a lovely gift shop. The town also has some nice restaurants, a nice w**e shoppe and antique shoppe. We’d love to go back and explore more.

We also enjoyed the Punkin Chunkin Fall festival in Howard on Saturday. We love this event as it benefits the Howard Volunteer Fire Company. It’s an awesome experience watching pumpkins get launched into the lake. They even have mini ones you can launch for $3 so you can experience it yourself. We enjoyed chicken on a stick from Snyders Concessions and bubble tea from Sips and Giggles.

If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I’m always planning something. 😂🤎

I’ve always loved finding fun things to do, organizing the details, and finding little ways to make everyday moments feel special.

Then I became a mom of four, and that love for planning adventures and making memories became an even bigger part of my life.

Somewhere along the way, PA Family Adventures grew into a community where I get to share that love with all of you!

From local gems and small businesses to family-friendly events, weekend getaways, and new places to explore, I love finding experiences worth sharing.

I’m excited to keep growing this little corner of the internet and helping more families discover just how much there is to explore. 🗺️✨

🫎 Elk spotting in Benezette, PA! 🍂

We headed to the PA Wilds to try our luck at spotting elk, and while we didn’t see any up close, we spotted a large number of them in the distance! Seeing them out in the wild was still such a cool experience. 🧡

If you want a closer look, they offer horse-drawn wagon rides that can take you closer to the elk!

We also stopped at the visitor center, which had some great educational displays, and enjoyed a short movie that taught us more about these incredible animals.

It was a fun way to spend some time outdoors, learn something new, and explore another beautiful part of Pennsylvania!
