This Houghton playground is worth the trip all by itself! 🛝🌊

If you’re heading to the Keweenaw with kids, don’t skip the Chutes & Ladders Playground at Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton.

This massive wooden playground feels like a giant maze with towers, tunnels, bridges, slides, and hidden pathways around every corner. My daughter could have spent hours exploring!

The best part? It’s located right along the Portage Canal, so parents get beautiful waterfront views while the kids burn off energy. There’s also a sandy beach area, picnic spots, hammocks, and plenty of space to relax.
