Headed into 2026, I’ve been thinking a lot about the kind of photographer I want to be this year.

On the way to the Tulsa Farm Show — on Riata’s birthday — she told me (for the second time) that she wants to be a photographer like Aunt Meagan. And sure… maybe some of it is because I’m the one sitting next to her — but she is surrounded by incredible photographers she looks up to, including Baleigh, who is one of the best wedding photographers I know. She has these strong creative women in her life — and somewhere in that mix, she’s decided she wants to be “like Aunt Meagan.” Hearing her say it — and say it again — just hits different.

And this year, she added a little camera ornament to her Christmas tree. I’ve been in and out of Morgan and Dillon’s house for holiday things and housesitting — and every time I walk past that tree, that tiny camera catches my eye.

It’s a reminder that it’s making an impact.
Whether I realize it in the moment or not.

And then there’s David — grabbing my camera more and more, asking questions, wanting to learn settings and editing, starting to fall in love with it the same way I did.

Somewhere along the way I realized… little eyes are watching how we create.

So headed into 2026 —
I want to be the photographer she thinks I am.
And the kind of photographer he feels inspired to learn from.

To all the photographers out there —
may we be the ones the littles can look up to. 🤍

Most creative business owners are posting how many logos they designed, websites they launched, or galleries they delivered in 2025.

Here’s my version:

In 2026, I’m spending as much time behind my camera as humanly possible — because that’s where I’m happiest and where I do my best work.

I’m also charging more — not because I’m greedy, but because I’m a professional photographer with years of experience… and honestly, if I’m going to chase people for money, it’s no longer going to be $250.
If I’m running after you — just know the invoice is bigger now. 😌📸

I’ve got a tiny circle and it’s perfect.
I’ve got the best man in my life.
And I’ve got the coolest clients on the planet.

2026 — clearer boundaries, better pricing, sharper art, and a whole lot more Meaganish.

Let’s ride. 🤘✨

Merry Christmas from Meaganish ✨
To every client who believed in me, every friend who supported me, and every freelance photographer who showed up, created alongside me, and helped carry the load this year — thank you. This business exists because of good people, and I’m so thankful for you.

From way way back to right now - and every version of life in between. Happy birthday to my longest-term friend. Thanks for growing up with me, growing through life with me, and still standing beside me. Ride or die 🖤 Morgan Sheive Satterwhite

A moment from the prairie that stuck with me —
the kind of scene that slows you down and makes you pay attention.

There’s history in those shoulders,
stories in those eyes,
and a whole lot of Oklahoma in that silhouette.

Black Friday: the one day a year I pretend I’m cool with discounting logos.
If your business is ready for a 2026-level glow-up, now’s the time.
Only 5 spots… because I actually value sleep. 😅✨

Some throwbacks because NAILE 2025 won’t include me this year — life, business, The Twelves, a back injury… all the things.
But NAILE will always be my absolute favorite. Showing on the green shavings was magic, but getting to turn around and photograph on them? Unreal.

We’ll be back in 2026.
Hazel Welker will be steady on her feet and ready to take on Louisville.
Catch y’all on the green next year. 💚

Who’s in if we make these again?

Big thank you to everyone for your patience lately. My turnaround times have been a little slower than normal. Normally I’m a suck it up, buttercup kind of gal… but this new back pain? Yeah, not the kind you can tough out.

For the first time in 34 years, I’m seeing a chiropractor. Plot twist: apparently I’ve burned through the cartilage in my lower spine. So basically my body’s been out here running with no shock absorbers and wondering why I feel like I’m dying.

Not fishing for sympathy — just keeping it transparent. If I seem slow, it’s because Dr. Kyle Babcock in OKC and I are now in a 6-week committed relationship. (He calls it a treatment plan. Tomato, tomahto.)

Also… anyone got a standing desk they wanna rehome before I end up duct-taping my laptop to the wall?
