Great show from the Northern Lights last night!! Got out there around 10pm thinking I missed the show. Waited about an hour before it started up again. I'm a big fan of B&W photography so I've included a few.

A needle in a haystack - June 27, 2024

This chase took place over challenging terrain - aka the Teddy Roosevelt National Grasslands in ND - meaning limited road options. We were on this storm from its genesis, but there were many storms competing for dominancy, and this was the only funnel of the day.

During a reposition, the storm finally "did the thing." While brief, we were able to get this shot. This ended up being a confirmed tornado with ground circulation.
