We know you haven’t heard much from The Mini Hereford Journal in 2025, and we’re hopeful that 2026 will bring renewed momentum and connection with breeders.

After much consideration, we want to share that we will not be hosting the Mile High Mini Social in Denver this January. Last year’s event was an incredible experience, but at this time we simply don’t have the bandwidth to plan it the way it deserves.

Our next magazine issue is scheduled for June 2026, with copies available at Junior Nationals. If you previously paid for an ad in the Summer ’25 Edition that did not publish, that payment will be fully applied to the Summer ’26 issue.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in and supported us over the past year. While our lives may look a bit different these days, our commitment remains the same: to support breeders and help promote the mini Hereford cattle.

Here’s to a fresh chapter in 2026! 🍻

📢 Market Update vs. Our Ranch Prices

This week’s sale barn reports show:

• Feeder steers (250–400 lbs): $6.00–$9.00 per lb
• 500–600 lb steers: $5.10–$7.35 per lb
• Bred cows: $3,000–$5,700 per head
• Cow/calf pairs: $4,000–$7,000

At Rasmussen Farms Miniature Herefords & Lowlines, we’re proud to offer:

• Registered and DNA-profiled Miniature Herefords & Lowlines priced competitively with sale barn averages, but with added value in genetics, docility, and efficiency.
• Bred cows and heifers priced in the $3,500–$5,000 range, aligned with current bred cow markets but backed by registration and small-frame efficiency.
• Cow/calf pairs available in the $4,500–$6,000 range, offering the same market value but with the bonus of miniature genetics that thrive on less feed and land.

👉 Why choose Miniature Herefords & Lowlines over sale barn cattle?

• Lower input costs thanks to smaller frame size
• Gentle temperaments, perfect for family ranches and youth projects
• Registered, DNA-profiled miniature hereford cattle for breeding confidence
• Sustainable and efficient for today’s ranching environment

We’re not just selling cattle—we’re building a community of breeders who value quality, sustainability, and connection.
