SAP Ride for the Veterans 2019

This year I decided to stray from the typical recap video for SAP's annual Ride for the Veterans event. Going with a personal profile of a single rider gave us the opportunity to make a more engaging and impactful piece. Viewers still get a complete picture of the event but with a more personal connection. A great example of how many different ways there are to incorporate video content.

Techo-Bloc Contrator Showcase 2019 Sizzle

Almost three weeks of filming in Montreal and over a month of editing went into creating all of the content for the Techo-Bloc Contractor Showcase Tour 2019. Here is the English version (yes we did French versions of every video as well) of the sizzle reel. As with every project, I wish I had more time dedicated to editing the sizzle but with 30 English and french instructional type videos to edit as well, I had to move on. Had a blast with the Techo-Bloc team and my Canadian crew including Edward Almeida on audio, Kevin Mackinnon on B Cam and Kevin Champagne Lessard, AC extraordinaire. Created at Pocono Digital House.

I was blown away by the studio Notes for Notes was able to build in this Chicago neighborhood. Another positive project I got to shoot with Bowstring Studios. We shot for a whole day with two RED Scarlets and a MoVI so maybe there will be some longer pieces to come in the future.

Students Run Philly Style

Parralux brought me on to shoot this little community involvement piece for Students Run Philly Style back in November 2017. Huge wrench thrown into the interview filming when the school we shot at informed us that the children would be coming outside for the gym and lunch periods. Such is production life! For the last four days I've been shooting content at the NADA 100 conference in New Orleans. In order to be able to shoot PAL and extend recording times for 60+ minute presentations, I installed the Open Memories Tweak app on my Sony #a7s. Closing in on the end of day four and I haven't had one issue. Pulling the LCD out from the body and using the a7s battery adaptor powered by #AntonBauer has kept the heat down and helped perform for full production days. Who needs camcorders anymore??!!

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of filming a BTS video for Eric Wortham's Yamaha All Access photo shoot. He's recent work has been touring with Adele and Jill Scott as their pianist. We filmed at his apartment in South Philly which had vintage gold wallpaper and a beautiful wall made of square mirrors with beveled edges that gave me some great "Good Will Hunting" shots. Looking forward to seeing the final piece once Yamaha finishes the edit!

Filming the man who started it all. Well... Techo-Bloc. All you landscapers and hardscapers know what I'm talking about at least. Charles Ciccarello started landscaping when he was 8. By 18 he was designing and manufacturing pavers. At 22 had a successful business making some of the most respected pavers in the business. Rad dude to boot. I didn't have to try to hard to make this interview look good with that workspace.
