Jillybean 8.5 months. My little grubby muffin had to go see her human sister for a bath, sani, nails and ear trim. She was getting scraggly and Mom doesn’t have scissor skills beyond the kitchen scissors… She was very good girl and she got a new toy. It’s a milk carton that these little cookies go in so she has to dig them out. It should be right up her alley but after spending the day at Salon Versace Dog Wash & Grooming and Great Neck Doggie Day Care, she’s too tired right now to play 🥰😂🐾🐶🛁🧽🫧 Cyndi Osborough

In the soup pot today, lid just went on to begin a slow simmery melding of flavors. I can take one Sam’s Club rotisserie chicken and turn it into three or four meals. Best value still after all these years! Brunswick Stew baby! 😋🍗

I have been friends with Cat Vines since my very first Doberman right around 2008 or so. We have this relationship that’s very candid, keeping it real is a must, and we can go years without physically talking or seeing each other and then all of a sudden we reconnected and it’s just like we pick up right where we left. We’d probably be more consistent if she was on Facebook, but she can’t stand it, or if I could just pick up the phone as she reminded me. 🤣🤔 Cat is the friend you call when you discover that the man you were supposed to marry is cheating on you. And she says, “Pack a bag, and your pillow. Put Bae & Pocket in the car and drive here now.”
Cat has bred two litters I believe now, maybe 3 of some exquisite Doberman’s-those dogs have been active and placing in the breed ring as well as the performance rings. I went to see her this afternoon with Jillybean since I was already out in the Smithfield area, to work on Jillybean’s leash pulling. I’ve trained and competed with several of my dogs over the years, but sometimes it takes Cat to break it down and put the puzzle pieces back together. So she started with getting Jillybean to pay attention to her by watching her face (not her hands that had the treats in them) JB catches on quick. That’s my girl! Once she had the face watching proofed, she tied that into letting her roam around loose and every time her back was to Cat, Cat would make a kissy noise, which of course Jillybean would turn around and come back to her and watch her face and she got rewarded for that. So now kissy noise means Hey come over here and look at me. That led to on lead work and small steps using the kissing noise to get her attention and this was done outside which Jillybean is used to being able to run and go. But this time she had to work for it and earn it. More on that later, this is why I tell people, professional dog training, companies or individuals not PetSmart! It was good to see my old friend today and she loves my pup and can see us doing some scent work competitions 🐶🐾

After the last 15 years or so of having boys, I really was looking forward to another little girl pup. I want to dress her up in little costumes and take her to reading programs with children with a glittery cape on or butterfly wings that light up…what I got 😳🙄 My little rough and tumble tomboy puppy. It’s a chilly, wet sleety Sunday on the farm and Jillybean decides it’s great weather to play ball and and catch me if you can with her big brother. 😂

Jillybean AKA:Jbean/Beans is now seven months old. She currently weighs about 11 1/2 pounds and as quite active. Her favorite things are playing with her, me playing with her with her toys, especially when I hide them and she has to go find them and her new favorite game of retrieve the ball. She’s so obsessed about the ball that when she goes out to go potty in the morning, she goes immediately to wherever she left it last and carries it around in her mouth as she potties. 😂 here she is Great Neck Doggie Daycare Boarding & Grooming yesterday with her friend Brandice (who made her a new collar with pink flamingos on it!) playing fetch! Brandice probably learning that once she starts, she doesn’t want to stop and Brandice no doubt had other things to do 😂🎾🦩🐶🐾 This puppy, and I are so incredibly blessed by the number of people in our lives that adore her. 🥰 After a day at camp yesterday, all three of us slept in till 10 AM this morning! That’s unheard of! JB did wake me up at 4:30 cause she needed to go out and I use that opportunity to toss Memphis and Tam some more hay since the weather is yucky. Bae looked at me like yeah you gotta be kidding me it’s raining, I’m not going out there 😂 Dobermans, if you know, you know. This winter remix is gonna keep us all inside today snuggling in and making some Yummies in the kitchen. 🥰
