We embarked on an adventure exploring Jekyll Island. We ended up spending most of the day on Driftwood Beach. The landscape was absolutely amazing, the weather perfect, and the vibes were unforgettable. We even spotted 3 dolphins playing just 30 yards off shore, but we were too slow to capture pictures.

We devoted Christmas Eve day to exploring Savannah, an area that has earned our affection. We genuinely enjoyed browsing the markets and walking along the picturesque Savannah River, as well as absorbing the abundance of history that this city holds. We're not done with this marvelous city yet...we have plans for more visits to indulge further into it's culture, both old and new.

These cold, damp, gray weather conditions have inspired me to start thinking of our Southern excursion for the winter months. Our departure isn't slated until November or December, pending Albert's availability, but just thinking about it, and researching places is already proving to be a morale booster and warming my soul.
