Closing the year out strong with Mindworks Georgia. These dedicated counselors, social workers, and advocates work hard to protect and improve mental health care and resources for the children of the state of Georgia.

Today, we focused on them and their personal wellbeing. What a way to end this work year!

I’ll come back with a 2025 recap later but just know my testimony is and will always be

God is Good!

I never experienced camp as a kid.

(That one time the Girl Scouts tried to make me sleep in the backyard was an epic fail!)

However, somehow I’ve been connected to some of the most selfless, loving, purposeful professionals I have ever met.

Through my work with the American Camps Association, I am learning multiple ways camps and camp professionals bring belonging, connection, and transformation to our communities.

This week, I had the honor of partnering with McKenna Crews to serve the partners of Indiana Youth Programs on Campus. These professionals serve youth in a variety of college campuses through programs, day camps, and overnight experiences.

They do the work of pouring into the children of Indiana. It’s was my honor to pour into them.

We spent the morning serving the Chief Business Officers (CBOs) at the University of Georgia.

These folks protect the integrity of their departments and the institution, stand on the policies, take the hits and lead through challenges. They ensure faculty and staff have resources available to teach and serve.

Today, we focused on equipping them with strategies to continue doing the job well while things keep changing and the hits keep coming.

I wish all of you could have been in the room today.

It’s a different experience when we spend an extended amount of time working the strategies.

It was beautiful to see transformation happen in the room.

Thank you for coming to the rescue when tech did not want to tech today. I’m always better when you’re with me!

I started October worried about a number of things
- The safety of travel
- Having to leave Bella for most of the month
- Driving in unfamiliar places and climates
- Having the energy to show up fully for all assignments

Just to name a few…

Sitting here on November 2, I can testify AGAIN that our God is faithful! He doesn’t owe me or you a good life but, if you look around you right now I wonder if you have to say “It is good.”

None of the things I was concerned about was a problem. Everything went smoothly and without concern. He provided everything and everyone I needed to accomplish the assignments this month.

He truly goes before us making our path straight.

And even when things go “wrong”, that’s when I’ve seen His love, grace, and protection the most.

He’s so good.

What a privilege to join my favorite facilitation partner, Dr. Todd Deal, in serving the Student Life and Engagement team at Dallas College on behalf of the Center for Creative Leadership. Thank you Dr. Stephanie Hill for initiating us into “Team Incredible”! And so grateful to Dr. Betsy Rivas and the phenomenal professional development team.

I love being in the room with “my people”, folks who love college students and pour their lives out to serve them.

It was our privilege to serve you, Friends!

Innovate Conference 2025…

For the last three years I’ve been blessed to serve and receive from ICON under the vision of and the Dream Team.

ICON always awakens something special in me.
- experiencing the joy radiating from Deya Smith
- talking business and impact with Keisha A Rivers
- getting to see and hug Danielle Ellington Gibson
- experiencing the brilliance of Onyx Lajeune, Kenya Adams and Bj Brown
- and this year spending time with my friend, Dr. Stacy Roberts (Congratulations on your nomination!)

The sessions, the speakers, the people, the details and I cannot forget the MUSIC!

The Innovate Conference is like no other and I am so grateful to experience it.

Last week I was so honored to visit my friends at South Louisiana Community College for their ULEAD conference. This is my second year with them and it filled my heart to hear the updates

- one friend completed her doctorate,

- another friend transitioned from SGA President to full time staff member,

- another friend completed her culinary degree and has moved on to the next one,

- others shared how they have applied the principals of since our last visit

- so many testimonies of how SOLACC is making an impact In their community.

It felt like a Homecoming!

Day 2‼️‼️‼️

These purposeful professionals serve, protect, and facilitate healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery for mamas, daddies, and babies.

They love their work.
They love their communities.
And this HeartWork has a cost.

Such an honor to pour into these beautiful people. So grateful and honored to share space with them.

Such a privilege to love on them.

This week has been the most beautiful blessing.

I spoke in two places at the same time yesterday!!!

The magic of technology, Friend! 👩🏾‍💻

I was in-person with my friends at Sam Houston State and pre-recorded the keynote for the healthcare professionals attending the IASCNAPA conference. They shared the recording live during the conference.

It was pretty cool to answer all of their messages and questions in the event app yesterday afternoon after leaving campus.

So grateful for folks who are willing to try new methods with me. Thank you for making space for this message with your folks.

Get the message out, Friend! It may not happen in traditional ways all the time and that’s the fun part 😆

You will be amazed what you can accomplish If you remain open and allow creativity to flow.
