Too often, we confuse authority with leadership. We assume that having power means having all the answers, and that disagreement is something to be silenced, punished, or ridiculed. But real leadership isn’t threatened by differing opinions; it welcomes them. It understands that diversity of thought is not a weakness but a strength.

Punishment-based leadership may achieve short-term control, but it comes at the cost of long-term unity. It stifles innovation, erodes morale, and sows lasting division. It teaches people to stay silent rather than speak truth, to comply rather than collaborate.

🎇🚫 UPDATE: The Unevent Has Been Officially Cancelled… or Has It? 🤔
Hey everyone! Quick announcement about our so-called Unevent.
It turns out this whole thing went right over certain people's heads. Yes, when we called it an Unevent, we meant exactly that. We were never hosting an actual event. We were just acknowledging the inevitable truth that people are going to show up and set off fireworks on their own regardless of any encouragement or scolding. So instead of pretending it would not happen, we are focusing on what actually matters:
✨ Posting allowable fireworks times
✨ Sharing safety education materials
✨ Minimizing the impact of Fireworks on pets, veterans, those sensitive to loud noises, and early sleepers.
✨ Encouraging everyone to clean up afterward so the area does not look like a post-apocalyptic glitter bomb zone

So, to clarify:
There is no event. There was never an event. But the event that is not an event has now been cancelled, which technically makes it more not existent or maybe less not existent. It might exist in spirit. It might not. It might be waiting in the bushes with a sparkler. No one knows.

At this point, we may have accidentally created a quantum paradox.
We have cancelled something that did not exist, so now the Unevent both does and does not exist until observed. It is basically Schrödingers Block Party.
