I always planned to design a greeting card for the July envelope of The Prose & Post Society...

But then one card turned into two (sort of), and now you can choose your own front cover. Or, if you decide to keep the card, you can create two prints out of the one card.

Inside July's envelope: two new art prints (vintage art + literary quotes), a letter from me personalized with your name written by hand in calligraphy, a vintage library card (there's a story to these), and an original 4x6 greeting card to keep or send.

Details to join in my bio. 💌

A few glimpses of the July edition of The Prose & Post Society...

Bits of carnival and carousel, tennis on the lawn (as imagined by E. M. Forster), summer days at the library...

The envelope art changes every month, but I use this bag to carry at least some of them to the post office. Since the first month, and now.

A first look at the new ribbon for July. The Literary Ribbon Society is a monthly ribbon subscription for the ones who know there are no small details.

Each month, members receive an exclusive ribbon featuring a literary quote woven into luxurious grosgrain ribbon... perfect for wrapping around a bouquet of peonies, a gift, a book for a friend, a bottle of wine, a stack of letters...

I'm still mailing the ribbon for June, but when you join now, this one will come to your mailbox in July.

For all our technology, we still love an envelope and a stamp and a letter in the mailbox.

Each month, members of The Prose & Post Society receive an envelope filled with two original art prints (vintage art + thoughtful quotes), a letter personalized with their name written by hand in calligraphy, and charming extras created just for that edition.

For June, that includes a reproduction of an 1891 stagecoach ticket from Virginia City, Montana; a sticker created from a Pony Express commemorative stamp; and a song release, shared first with members, about a man who doesn't look much anymore at his silver pocket watch.

A man named Louis bought a stagecoach ticket to Virginia City in 1891...then folded it up and left it in jis wallet. When you open your envelope, you'll hold a meticulous replica of that ticket in your hands.

I think he'd be surprised to know that ticket is still around, 135 years later. But it was a clue...

Seeing your own name written by hand may be a small thing... except...

It also feels essential. A way to know someone took time, real time, to write it, as the second hand on the clock moved around the dial two or three full times...

How could that ever get old?
