There comes a point in life where you either let tragedy define you… or you fight to become something greater than the pain you came from.
I know that struggle personally.
I have faced loss, hardship, and moments where life could have easily gone in a very different direction. But through perseverance, passion, and refusing to give up, I built something I’m incredibly proud of through Strange Knocks Magazine. And now, I want to use that platform to give back.
Introducing a brand-new section of Strange Knocks Magazine:

Stories of young people rewriting their future.
This section is dedicated to spotlighting young people who are overcoming difficult circumstances — gangs, addiction, violence, poverty, broken homes, loss, and every obstacle life has thrown in front of them — yet still choosing to fight for a better future.
These are the kids chasing goals.
The kids trying to break cycles.
The kids determined to become more than what the world expected of them.
Too many young people grow up feeling like nobody believes in them.
I want them to know someone does.
Knocking Back is about hope, resilience, and proving that your past does not get to decide your future. If sharing these stories inspires even one person to keep going, then this section has done exactly what it was created to do.
If you know a young person with a story worth telling, we want to hear it.
Because sometimes the strongest people are the ones who had every reason to give up… but didn’t.
