I am genuinely grateful to have found Kishikawa Sensei. He is the last direct link to true masters like Gosho Sensei and Otake Sensei. These moments are what build the real “Do” (The Way).

People think Bushido is just rules. But Bushido is only real if someone is there to keep you on the path.

Episode 4 – The duel that defined a legend. On Ganryū Island, Musashi faced Sasaki Kojirō, master of the legendary Tsubame Gaeshi (燕返し) – the “swallow-reversal” strike so fast it could cut a bird in mid-flight. Armed with a wooden oar carved longer than Kojirō’s nodachi, Musashi arrived late, used the sun to blind his opponent, and struck him down with a single, decisive blow.

But the victory wasn’t the end—it was the beginning of his true path. For the next 10 years, Musashi retreated from the world, living in solitude to refine his two-sword Niten Ichi-ryū, meditate on strategy, and eventually write The Book of Five Rings.
