Lyra, a Denver-based nonprofit, incubates and accelerates high-impact educational initiatives grounded in the voices of students and educators. By providing resources, infrastructure, and expertise, they support coalitions across Colorado’s urban and rural communities—bringing together students, teachers, parents, community leaders, industry mentors, policymakers, and funders to create an ecosystem where every voice drives innovation and student success.

In partnership with Franklin Street Studio, I had the joy of joining Lyra’s Hackathon—grateful to be part of the experience and excited to share a glimpse through these images.

It’s not every day you’re featured in a book about the history of Ballroom ✨🏳️‍🌈

I’m incredibly grateful to author Michael Roberson, Mikelle Street, and Editor for the opportunity, the feature, and the process that went into its creation.

Three years ago, I began a project called 100 Images of Ballroom—a visual journey capturing the essence of Mainstream, Mini, and Kiki Balls across Denver, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The images selected for this feature highlight the distinct brilliance, power, and creativity that make Ballroom an iconic cultural force.

Most importantly, thank you to the Ballroom community for laying the foundation of so much of what makes us—and our culture—what it is today. Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing you.

Soul 2 Soul Sisters is a Black women‑led, faith‑based movement born in 2015 out of the Movement for Black Lives. Centering healing, reproductive justice, and liberation, they uplift Black women, femmes & gender‑expansive beloveds through programs in healing & joy, civic engagement, reparations, and storytelling — all rooted in love, rest, and radical self‑love. 💛🫶🏾

The Denver LGBTQ+ Commission, in partnership with Mayor Johnston’s Office, is hosting Pride in the City, a free event for Denver to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, on Friday, June 27th from 4:30 - 7:00pm at Truss House in Rino. We’ll have food, family-friendly activities, games, nonprofit awards & spotlights, and a marketplace featuring LGBTQ+ vendors and businesses. 🏳️‍🌈

Open to all ages, we hope to see you there! 🙌🏾
