How to Tie a Bridle Knot

A "bridle knot" is neat, flat, and easy to tie ā€” perfect for bridles, reins, and more.

Steps:
(Think: Top down, then round and round.)

1ļøāƒ£ Thread your tie leather through the holes. Leave the bottom strand slightly longer.

2ļøāƒ£ Fold the top strand down.

3ļøāƒ£ Wrap the bottom strand under the top strand.

4ļøāƒ£ Repeat step #3 until you're out of room.

Thatā€™s it! Simple, secure, and you're ready to ride. šŸŽ

So much style and colorful horses at the NOHSA!

One thing to note when picking show clothes is what something looks like from the other side of the arena! Judges arenā€™t going to see the tiny details. They see the over all picture. Make sure to pick something that fits well, goes well with your horseā€™s color and stands out against your background.

Ranch Pleasure at the NOHSA.

There were soooo many cool horses in this class. I am really enjoying watching the ranch classes while here. Itā€™s neat to see them moving as if they were on a working cattle ranch.

One of the reasons I love horsemanship is because itā€™s on you and your horse as a team. Itā€™s not solely on how well your horse moves.

You have to be a great team that communicates well with each other. If you havenā€™t tried it yet I hope youā€™ll consider it at your next horse show.
