John “Bellionaire” Bellavia was born in Syracuse on Nov. 2, 1981, but he will happily accept birthday cigars or snuggles any time of year. Raised by traditional, nose-to-the-grindstone Sicilian parents, he has a tireless work ethic and is incredibly close to his three brothers (who all wish they could be as handsome as he is). John has been bringing people together in the name of comedy, alcohol,
and sex, for more than a decade. He is responsible for performances as big as Slaughter and as small as your neighbor’s birthday hoe-down you considered calling the cops about because it was loud and you were jealous you weren’t there. While he is a full-service promoter who can make the perfect margarita with one hand while balancing the books with the other, his true passion is performing. He has been in the business of comedy for years, and has added it to his portfolio as a successful way to afford life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. He initially dipped his toe into comedy through writing content, and as he saw others succeed due to his original voice, he thought, “I should be performing this and getting these ladies for myself.” Soon after that, he went on stage, won his first competition on brand-new material, and has continued to win hearts and minds ever since. John has hosted and performed in invitational comedy shows all over Central New York and beyond, and also hosts his own monthly stand-up showcase, “Comedy & Chill,” where he gives away valuable stage time and hundreds of dollars in prize money to up-and-coming comedians. In addition, he cohosts the Matt Masur show, which airs weekly on the Bubba Army Radio Network, and is producing his upcoming show, “Life of a Bellionaire,” which combines food, fun, and entertainment, in the way only a Bellionaire can. Although he finds comedy to be a wildly enjoyable endeavor, he knows that like sex, if you’re not getting the reaction you want, you have to try something different. “Comedy is like being with a woman – if she’s not impressed in the first couple seconds, you have to work a little harder.” With a big voice, and even bigger “personality,” you can rest assured that John will put in the effort to find the angle you’re looking for, and he won’t stop until the job is done.
