You've seen the videos! A cute kid in a high chair is crying , and then, out of nowhere, a slice of American cheese flies in and hits them in the head! They immediately stop crying because they're confused and shocked. And the parents just laugh.

A columnist expressed her disdain for these parents, saying they are using their children without consent. The main point the writer makes is, how is that kid going to feel when they see that video someday?

Here’s the thing: If you parent them the right way, they're going to see it and laugh because it's funny! But if you convince them to be offended by every little thing, they're going to want to sue for emancipation by the time they're twelve!

We're diving into the wild world of modern parenting consent!

First off, we would not be the parents throwing cheese at our kid. Maybe a fancy cheese like provolone or shredded cheddar, but not for internet clout! We're protective—I won't even use my daughter's name on the whole podcast.

But then I read this article... asking a baby for consent before changing their diaper.

Seriously? Come on! As I always say, "The smell is the consent". If it stinks, we're changing it!

My wife had already undressed my daughter and put her in one of her cute little bathrobes. That means no diaper, just the bathrobe!
​So, I've got her sitting on my lap, she's looking at me, and sure enough, all of a sudden, I feel something warm! She completely soaked my whole leg, from the hip down, and my jeans. I was trying to stay absolutely still because I didn't want to get anything on the couch.
​I started calling for my wife, "Mommy! Come upstairs!" Meanwhile, my daughter is just looking at me like, "I do this all the time. What's your problem?". So yeah, I got very directly and thoroughly peed on by my daughter. It's just dad life, right? Who else has been thoroughly baptized by their kids?

I love holding my baby with her jabbering and looking right at me. But then, she comes in close, and she just bites my whole nose with those two little teeth! And I'm an idiot —I just let her do it. I know it must hurt, but it hasn't broken the skin yet.

She doesn't bite my chin like her Mom's because I don't think she likes the whiskers, but there are no whiskers on my nose! Who else lets their adorable little monster inflict minor, painful, but completely worth-it injuries on them?

I just made a big decision: in reaction to some of the political stuff that's happening, I put up a flagpole! I've always wanted to do that , and we've talked before about how everybody should have the American flag flying over their house.

But here's the best part: You can get those awesome Christmas tree flagpole lights! It basically turns the flagpole into a giant Christmas tree of lights!

I've been looking at them, and some are really cool. Don't worry, I know myself—I will have it. If I mention it, I'll build it or buy it, so you'll be driving past that thing soon enough! Who else is going full patriotic-holiday mashup this year?
