Update about our rental home situation:
We've officially been relocated until Monday, which is both a good thing and a stressful thing. After SJA Property Management and Property Meld sent 3 specialists to our home, only one of which I had been made aware of, they installed 5 loud fans to try to pull moisture out of the sealed ceiling and walls. They told me that the fans would be running indefinitely 24/7, that we were not allowed to turn them off at any point, and to expect a random visit from someone everyday without warning to come test the levels of moisture in the house. The fans were so loud that people were shouting over one another to communicate and seeing the look on my dog's face was just crushing me. The two other specialists had no experience in plumbing and they left without fixing a thing. So I called up SJA and said we were going to need to find a place to stay until this was done. It took hours of calling and being told I'd hear back in "20-30" minutes, but they did offer us a $1000 credit to our rent if we wanted to find a place for us and our pets out of pocket for the week.
So now we're in a place where it is nice and quiet, the pets are resting deeply after all of the chaos, and now we wait to hear back about what the timelines are looking like and what possible amount of relief they plan on offering us. Meanwhile I'm losing out on so many opportunities to place my vintage items with their second chance homes, falling behind in shipping, losing so much time to continue the hand made Christmas gifts I had planned 🥲
This is so not how this house was supposed to go and it seems like SJA still doesn't seem to recognize the fault in how they've been approaching all of this with how they worded the previous comment they made on my last video. At least now they seem to be taking it a little more seriously, I just wish they'd channel their energy into finding solutions to the actual problems instead of sending out a bunch of random people to appear as if they are doing something.
