If you’ve ever had ube ANYTHING, you’ll know that the subtle sweetness and flavor is so addicting!! 💜 If you’ve never heard of ube and are wondering “what the heck is that?!” I got you!! Ube is another name for purple sweet potato, commonly used in many Filipino dishes. It tastes pretty close to a regular sweet potato, but its bold purple color is so fun and unique!! These soft dinner style rolls have a similar sweetness to Hawaiian rolls, filled with melty mozzarella cheese, and are rolled in breadcrumbs. This is a yeast risen recipe, not sourdough, but I’m working on figuring out a way to incorporate ube into my sourdough items as well 💜
