EXTREMELY WET WEATHER PATTERN WITH SEVERAL ATMOSPHERIC RIVERS will develop across the Southwest through the end of December. Several notable atmospheric rivers will slide down the California coast and make landfall in California, spreading moisture into the Golden State, and areas farther inland across the Desert Southwest. Initially, NorCal and central California are favored from today through the weekend, but SoCal and the Desert Southwest gets in on the action Christmas week - starting Christmas Eve. Over the next 10-14 days, a few to several inches of rain will fall with the Sierra seeing 1-2 feet of liquid water. The highest elevations will see NUMEROUS FEET OF SNOW. Flooding is a concern along with landslides and debris flows - especially near recent, large burn scars. Guidance is continuing to trend up with the rainfall potential
