In November 2022, Casper—a brave Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog—fought off 11 coyotes in Georgia, USA, to protect his flock. The fierce encounter lasted over 30 minutes, during which he killed 8 coyotes while suffering severe injuries, including a deep neck wound and the loss of his tail. His determination ensured the sheep remained safe.

Following the attack, Casper disappeared for two days before returning home in critical condition. He received extensive veterinary care and slowly recovered from his wounds.
