Slow down. Breathe. You’re not behind. (Watch my new short film on YouTube ➡️ link in bio.)
I usually share motorcycle adventures here — but winter in Alaska asks for a different kind of journey.
Winter in Alaska forces a different pace. The motorcycle is parked, the miles are quiet, and life has space to speak.
I’m a 54-year-old woman, a German living in Alaska for 25 years, separated, and moving through one of those seasons of deep change many of us face — especially as women in midlife. This short film isn’t about riding far. It’s about listening, healing, and remembering that change doesn’t mean failure.
If you’re navigating loss, reinvention, loneliness, or uncertainty — I see you. Nothing about this is wrong. It’s human.
In summer, I share moto-camping adventures across Alaska on my DR650. In winter, I slow down and reflect. This film is for anyone — especially women — who need a reminder that strength can be quiet, and forward motion doesn’t always look loud.
Thank you for being here. — Debbie
