A prayer of Thanksgiving and Salvation

God, thank You for loving us. Thank You that You sent Jesus, Your only Son, into the world as proof of Your love and to restore us to Yourself. Even before we loved You, God, you sent Jesus to be the payment, to take the punishment for our sin.

Thank you for giving us the abity to believe that our sin requires consequences and that Jesus stood in our place to take those consequences on Himself. Thank You that the power of the Holy Spirit gave Jesus's body resurrection power over death and sin. Jesus canceled the sin-debt we owed and we receive that forgiveness through faith.

Now You have given us a portion of Your Holy Spirit to walk with us and live in us. He is greater than the worldly powers of sin, trial, and temptation. "Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love..."
Thank you, God!

Declare it aloud to yourself, remind your soul and body. Put the spiritual atmosphere around you on notice that you are living in this reality inspired by 1 John 4.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
Me. I can. You can. Not just apostle Paul. Not just the missionaries and preachers. God has given His people power to be set free from all sin. We can persevere. We can resist temptation. Jesus made that power available to us when He rose from the dead, and gave us faith to believe. Begin by agreeing with God and speaking the Truth aloud to yourself and put the spirit realm on notice! You do not have to live defeated. The power of Christ in you!
