Miata people, I need your opinions on this one 👀🔧

After I’ve been driving the Miata for a while — especially if I’ve actually been getting on it — I’ve noticed the idle changes once I park. Between this and a couple of other little symptoms, we’re starting to think the IACV might have something to do with it.

And apparently replacing one isn’t exactly cheap 😭 so before I start throwing expensive parts at a 240K-mile Miata, I’d much rather try cleaning it and actually figure out what’s causing the issue.

**1.6 NA Miata owners — have you dealt with IACV/idle issues before? What symptoms did yours have and what actually fixed it?** Tell me what I should check 👇🏼

I’m completely self-taught and still learning, so this is exactly why I love having other car people to bounce ideas off of. 🤍🔧

Time to see if Pro-Lube can do anything for the lifter tick in my 240K-mile Miata 👀🔧

The directions call for 1 oz per quart of oil, so I added the first 3 quarts, measured out 4 oz of Pro-Lube, and then topped everything off with oil.

And before anyone says anything… YES, that is a kitchen Pyrex measuring cup. 😭😂 I was too lazy to go find my actual measuring tool, so we improvised.

One thing about working on my own cars — I’m still learning, and sometimes we just use what we’ve got. 😂

Now the real question… **do you think Pro-Lube is actually going to quiet down the Miata’s lifter tick?** 👀

Trying to get the Miata ready for the **L***y Meet at 8** and of course NOTHING can go according to plan 😭🌧️

It’s already 5 PM, I still have to finish the oil change, I’m missing a quart of oil, and by the time I make it to O’Reilly’s it is absolutely POURING.

Like… sitting-in-the-car-because-I-don’t-want-to-get-out pouring. 😂

Thankfully Tobie has an oil filter wrench I can use, so the mission is grab my missing quart, get back home, finish the Miata and HOPEFULLY make it to the L***y Meet.

Assuming the weather decides to cooperate because I’m definitely not showing up in a downpour. 😭😂

3 problems before I could even START the Miata oil change 😭😂

I only had 3 quarts of oil when I needed 4, my oil filter wrench had completely disappeared, AND it looked like the sky was about to open up at any second.

At least I had the filter and Pro-Lube ready to go 😂🔧

This is what I mean when I say I want to start showing more of the REAL process behind these projects. Not just “hey guys, today we’re changing the oil” → perfectly edited install → done.

Sometimes you realize you’re missing oil, can’t find a tool, it starts raining and now we’re going on a side quest. 😂

Honestly, this is way more fun to document anyway.

Why I’m Getting Back Into YouTube 🤍

I don’t want my content to constantly be “here’s the next part we’re installing” or another perfectly edited brand video.

Don’t get me wrong — cars, installs, builds, and brand deals are still going to be a huge part of what I do. But there’s so much more that happens between all of that.

Going to grab ramps for the Miata, getting gas, grabbing food, working on random projects, or just whatever happens that day. 😂

That’s actually a huge reason I’m getting back into YouTube. Long-form videos give me the space to show the whole story instead of trying to fit everything into a 30-second Reel. I can vlog the random moments, get more creative with my editing, show the behind-the-scenes of these projects, and actually let you guys get to know me again.

That’s the kind of content I made when I first started social media, and I felt so much more connected to the community. More importantly, creating felt like a hobby I genuinely loved, rather than another checkmark on my to-do list.

I want to get back to that version of content creation. 🤍

I FORGOT THE JACK WAS STILL UNDER THE MIATA 😭

This is exactly why I said using ramps for the first time was a learning experience. 😂

I went to back the Miata off the ramps and completely forgot I still had a jack underneath the car… until the car started getting VERY confused about what it was supposed to be sitting on. 😭

Thankfully nothing happened, but I definitely learned a few lessons during this oil change. 😂🔧

Social media used to be something I loved, but somewhere along the way it started feeling more like a checklist. Anxiety also kept me away from meets and a lot of the things I used to enjoy.

So I’m getting back to posting more real, everyday content and less perfection. Today that meant grabbing some ramps, changing the Miata’s oil, trying Pro-Lube for the lifter tick, and getting her ready for a small local L***y car meet. 😂🔧

Just getting back to doing what I love and bringing you guys along for it. 🤍

I think I’ve spent way too much time feeling like everything I post has to be perfectly filmed and edited… so we’re changing that 🫡

I’m constantly working on something — the Miata, the 4Runner, the house, or whatever random project I decide to start next — and I want to start sharing more of the actual process, not just the finished product.

More projects, more random updates, more real life & a lot less overthinking. 🤍🔧

A little late posting these… 💛❤️🎓

On May 2, 2026, I officially graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Studies through the College of Communication & Information FSU CCI .

This degree represents so much more than the classes I took. It represents resilience, growth, and learning to keep moving forward even when the path wasn’t always clear.

As a proud FSU CARE CARE Program student and first-generation college graduate, this milestone means more than I can put into words. I’m so grateful for the opportunities, support, and friendships that helped shape my time at FSU.

Over the last four years, I balanced school with multiple jobs while growing as both an entrepreneur and content creator. I officially launched 𝓚𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓲 𝓑 𝓥𝓲𝓼𝓾𝓪𝓵𝓼 , where I help businesses grow through social media management, marketing, and creative content, while also building my personal creator brand through partnerships with brands I genuinely enjoy working with. Somewhere along the way, I realized this is exactly what I’m meant to be doing.

And of course, the biggest thank you goes to my best friend and fur baby, Denali. 🧡 You were there through every late-night assignment, every stressful week, every win, and every setback. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better companion through it all.

Thank you to the FSU CARE Program, FSU CCI, and everyone who made these four years so meaningful.
