Introducing Beau and Megan Titsworth of Hunter's Green, October's cover of Cross Creek Living, and probably the best "how we met" story we've run.
Beau's dad and Megan's former stepdad were roommates years ago, so the two grew up seeing each other once in a blue moon. They reconnected in college (Beau at Oklahoma on the golf team, Megan at Georgia College), dated long distance for almost five years, and married in Phoenix in 2021. They moved from Madeira Beach to Hunter's Green in March 2024 for more space, a golf course nearby, and neighbors who show up: after the hurricanes, one neighbor spent an entire day on his own tractor clearing everyone's debris.
Beau runs individual and small-business benefits through HealthMarkets (and still chases professional golf on the side). Megan works for Workday. Megan grew up north of Atlanta after moving from South Africa as a kid, became a naturalized citizen, and this past Fourth of July at Lake Norman turned to Beau during the fireworks and said, "People just don't know how free they are here."
And then there's Bear, the 12-year-old Shih Tzu who once ate an entire bottle of fish oil pills before a six-hour travel day and came out of it with the shiniest coat of his life.
Their message to the neighborhood: "Us younger residents don't bite." Beau wants to start a care-for-the-course group at the Club, and Megan would love a way for younger residents to get together.
Thank you to True Builders for sponsoring this month's Resident Feature, and to Kristine Freed Photography for the cover. Landing now in Arbor Greene, Cory Lake Isles, Heritage Isles, Hunter's Green, and Kingshyre at Cross Creek.
