Mr. Steve Krochel owner of the Krochel Wildlife Refuge in Skagway/ Haines,Alsaka. OH, what a character he is. He is W***y Wonka, Dr. Doolittle, Doc Brown (Back to the Future) and Ace Ventura all wrapped into one!

For me, it was a one of the highlights of the trip. His passion, knowledge and love for the animals is heart warming, plus he positioned me in the best photo spots. I was the only one he invited into the Caribou enclosure to photgraph a mama and her calf! Definitely the best photo exerience I have had to date!

Don't get me wrong. I use Apple devices (iPhone, iPad) but for them to insinuate that their new iPad Pro can "substitute" (for a lack of a better word) Human Creativity is insulting. As a photographer, it is my eyes and brain that create the image, my creativity is what makes my photos unique, that I use hardware and software to enhance, edit has nothing to do with it, they are merely tools of the trade! I know artists, photographers, painters, Dj's, sculptors, musicians, singers etc. and no electronic device can NEVER substitute us. Shame on you Apple!

Apple has apologized and admitted it “missed the mark” with its latest iPad Pro advertisement.

During my most recent visit home (Cabo Rojo), I took a couple of hours from my projects to do something that I have been waiting to do for years. Go shoot with my cousin, Dr. Joaquin Mojica! My uncle (his father) taught us photography. There was a time that you couldn't tell who took a photo, because our styles were so alike.

We have been wanting to get together for years but it never happened until now and I look forward to doing it again!

Photography Slump.

Almost 2 years now that I haven't enjoyed photography. After Dad passed away, I've been mainly shooting my families get togethers and haven't posted much. I haven't even edited much of those either.

Life has been hectic and complex but I assure you that I am still as passionate. Just with the pandemic, its prudent to just stay still.

I look forward to better days and places that will inspire my creativity! I love feeling the camera in hand, watching the world thru my lens!

DON'T FORGET ME NOR COUNT ME OUT YET... I see new projects new inspirations and branching out. Time is on my side.

For almost a year now and especially due to the pandemic, I have not done much photography. Life has been, many times, challenging. I have been focused on my personal future and taking care of new things in my life. Multi-tasking at it's finest.

But this past holiday weekend, a much needed disconnect. We headed to Cape Coral to visit my brother in law, Wandy got to see her mom and all in all, just having a change of environment was what we needed. Nana spent time with her uncle and even "picked mangos" !

Then it was off to Siesta Key to meet up with my sister, my other brother in law and my mom. We stayed overnight in her time share, spent some time in the water, played some Yahtzee, where the big winners were Wanda and Nana!

I dusted off the camera and man did it feel great to just put my eye in that viewfinder. I miss it and can't wait to get back on the horse and just come out with new things. I am always planning how to grow and I can see in the horizon that it will happen in the near future.
Love my family as we are socializing with ourselves until we can see face to face all our friends!
