Paris was everything I knew it would be.

Room service. Croissants. The Eiffel Tower from my window. Fully present, fully grateful.

Approaching 50 does not mean I am arriving at confidence. I brought that with me.

It means I am going deeper. More intentional. More unapologetic about what I want and what I receive.

Twelve grants for my nonprofit. Found in one afternoon by my my personal agent made by Meta. I run The Knighten Project, giving new suitcases filled with essentials to teens aging out of foster care.

Until now, I did it alone. So I built my own Muse. Named her Corrie, after my granny, my #1 cheerleader.

I asked her to help me find funding. She came back with 12 local grants, broken down by deadline, award, eligibility, and more. Then flagged which ones were closing soonest, without me even asking.

Corrie is officially my teammate now.

I'm now the Paris expert!! Joking!! But seriously, if you're headed to Paris for the first time, these are some things that I experienced first hand that could make your trip a little easier if you're prepared.

1. No washcloths in our hotel.
2. No AC in many places.
3. Bring your walking shoes.
4. Pay to use the restrooms
5. Bikers are everywhere. Watch out.

Oh Paris!! What an experience. I got to see and actually go to the top of the Effiel Tower, see Thee Mona Lisa, sail on the Siene River, visit Disney Land Paris, see inside the Louve, sit in an outside Cafe and people watch... and just be in Paris.

We even visited the Black side.of Paris, unfortunately 90% of the stores were closed because it was a Sunday. They rest. But I did buy a cute.wig from one of their beauty supplies, stay tuned 🤣!

An amazing trip celebrating my friend LaTosha, 50th Birthday!! I pray it was everything she wanted it to be.

Hot chocolate & croissants are the thing in Paris! And Carette's is thr place to experience this. I forgot to share that the Strawberries were sooooo good and sweet. I was surprised how big the croissants were and buttery. If I lived near there, I would be a regular for sure!

Have you been to Paris and tried the Patate Fries? They have almost 10 sauces to choose from but I tried 4. Garlic aioli was the best for me. I liked all of the sauces I tried though.

We were literally the first ones there, then a line formed .... so glad we were on time because at the time it was one person making each order.

And yes they make the orders fresh!! If you are in Paris, bear the famous Siene River, check them out!! If you've been to Paris, have you had these fries?
