We're proud to celebrate the students from Williams Middle Magnet School who represented Think Big for Kids at the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans American Enterprise Summit in Washington, D.C. in June!
This summer, our Tampa-based students joined 144 rising eighth graders from across the country for an unforgettable week of learning, leadership and inspiration. Together, they explored the principles of free enterprise, the American Dream, and the opportunities education can unlock.
Students visited the U.S. Capitol, viewed the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, heard from inspiring Horatio Alger Members, and put their entrepreneurial thinking to the test in a "Shark Tank" business plan competition.
We're incredibly grateful to the Horatio Alger Association for investing in young people and creating experiences that expand what's possible for the next generation. Congratulations to the outstanding students and educators from Williams Middle Magnet School, who represented Think Big for Kids with curiosity, enthusiasm and excellence.

Lele's journey includes foster care, homelessness, financial instability and unimaginable obstacles. But it also includes mentors who showed up, a village of nonprofits that invested in her future, and a determination that refused to quit.
Today she's earning her bachelor's degree, building a business, and inspiring the next generation.
