For almost three years, we wondered what our son’s voice might sound like. We sat through silence, tears, therapy, and so much more 😮‍💨‼️ We prepared ourselves to learn ASL if that was the path ahead. Our love was never in question. Now, the same boy we once waited to hear is the one helping his baby sister 🫶🏾🖤 repeating sounds, cheering her on, and helping her speak. What once felt uncertain has turned into the most beautiful full circle moment 🥹🫶🏾🖤 PARENTS ADVOCATE FOR YOUR KIDS 💯‼️ ❤️

These throwbacks reminds me 📲 we didn’t just get LUCKY, we got intentional. Being a good spouse takes effort 💯❗️showing up even when it’s hard, loving loud, and keeping the vision alive. It isn’t about perfection… it’s about giving EFFORT every day ! The smallest thing is still effort 🫶🏾

Mamas pay attention to your kids 🥺🫶🏾 I saw my son go from a happy and smiling kid to a completely different kid! He stopped talking, he looked sad… I knew something was wrong immediately! Now he’s back to his old self again and ima hype him up as I’ve always done!!

Coming out to my mama wasn’t the prettiest thing! She said it was a phase and took me to church 😮‍💨Her having me at 16 is one thing but we have been through IT! I’m THE OLDEST DAUGHTER… that’s all ima say 😂! IYKYK ‼️‼️ This mother daughter dance was a moment of healing because we have had our share of ups and downs! I know my inner child is at peace knowing that now we are moving forward with LOVE and boundaries!

I know I can’t be the only parent because whew! I parent from a place of wanting to have a great mother daughter bond when she’s older! Somehow she already mirrors the little girl I used to be…reminding me I GET TO RESPOND WITH THE LOVE I NEEDED BACK THEN! Is it always easy? No but I’m trying my best 😮‍💨 !

It’s 2025 and folks still clutchin they pearls over two Black women getting married. Baby, we ain’t new to this ! WE BEEN LOCKED IN EST 2013 ‼️ We didn’t fight through trauma, healing, and whole systems built against us just to tone it down for your comfort ‼️🤷🏽‍♀️

This ain’t “love wins” ‼️💯 this is love BEEN won. And we still look good doin it. We’re soft where we deserve to be, loud when we need to be, and rooted in a kind of joy that ain’t up for debate ⚠️⚠️❗️

If that still makes people mad? Then let them stay MAD while we stay blessed. 💍🖤🌈

I started college today! Feels like I’m doing this backwards but I also know there’s no such thing as perfect timing ‼️ It’s my first time going to school on campus! I was nervous af this morning but yal really came through with the positive vibes! It be strangers that support you the most!! Thank yal for all the positive energy and messages 🫶🏾🖤
