Kevin here. Bolts beat the rats so you know what that means. Time for my thought per game

1. Yanni Gourde with 2 assists on the night looks like he's settling back into his home and getting ready for the playoffs. Playoff Yanni makes Kevin so happy.

2. Nikita KUUUUUUUUUUUUcherov now at 121 points on year. I'm very excited to see him play his best hockey of the year over the course of the next (hopefully) 8+ weeks.

3. The Latvian Locomotive threw it down in the 3rd. I don't care that it took 81 games to get here. That's what I want from him as we set ourselves up for a 20+ game sprint to the finish.

4. Don't read too much into how this game went, though. The Panthers rested a lot of people, including Bobrovsky, and several of their high caliber forwards, going 11-7 tonight to give us a different look before the playoffs.

5. 29-8-4 at home for 62 points in 41 games. For context, the Blackhawks accrued 61 points in the entire season. You have to go back to the President's Trophy winning team to find the last time we had a better home record than we did this year. Home ice matters, and this team is going to show us that in round 1.
