TARRANT, Ala. – A home burglary was reported Friday afternoon on Jefferson Boulevard in Birmingham, according to a Jefferson County law enforcement dispatch.

The caller reported that someone had broken into his residence and taken an air-conditioning unit and other items.

The incident was reported around 4:23 p.m. on September 12, 2026. The information comes from live dispatch audio and has not been independently confirmed through an official police report.

TARRANT, Ala. – Three people with connections to the Tarrant area were recently arrested on drug-related charges, according to Jefferson County jail records.

Kentrevious Deshawn Hudson, 21, was arrested by the Birmingham Police Department on September 10 and faces charges of second-degree possession of ma*****na and possession of a controlled substance—hallucinogen. Hudson was recently arrested for drug trafficking, previously covered on our platform.

Sterling Third Fields, 36, was also arrested by Birmingham Police on September 10. He faces charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of ma*****na, and possession of a controlled substance—hallucinogen.

Sherwanda Lashawn Karey Jones, 36, was arrested by the Tarrant Police Department on September 5. Her listed charges include possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of ma*****na, and possession of a controlled substance—hallucinogen.

The jail records indicate all three were released after their respective bookings. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

TARRANT, Ala. — Police were dispatched Friday morning to an auto parts store on Pinson Valley Parkway following a report of a man with a gun inside the business.

According to dispatch audio, the initial call reported a male with a fi***rm at the counter who was screaming and yelling. Dispatchers also reported that a caller was hiding in a bathroom inside the store.

Officers were provided a description of the suspect, including that he was wearing a white tank top and shorts. The audio indicates additional officers were requested to respond to the scene.

At one point, dispatch advised officers to hold radio traffic until responding units arrived. The incident was later confirmed by dispatch as a 10-24, indicating the responding officer had arrived at the location.

The dispatch recording was timestamped 8:22 a.m. on September 11, 2026.

TARRANT, Ala. – Police were reportedly called to Food Outlet on Springdale Lane in Tarrant Wednesday night after a store manager reported a van breaking the locks on the store’s dumpsters and taking discarded meat.

According to a dispatch recording, the vehicle was described as a dusty gray, half-van/half-pickup-style vehicle. The manager reported that the vehicle was entering the top of the dumpsters and removing old meat.

The call was dispatched around 10:08 p.m. on September 9, with officers requested to check the rear of the store. The audio is an automatically generated dispatch transcript and is not an official police report, so details could change.

TARRANT, Ala. – A customer at American Ranch House in Tarrant reportedly discovered what appears to be a fly in their food, prompting a complaint to the restaurant.

According to messages provided to Tarrant Off The Chain, the incident occurred on August 3. The customer reportedly found the insect in the middle of their meal, which included hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas and cornbread.

A photograph provided to TOTC appears to show an insect embedded among pieces of cornbread on the customer’s plate.

According to the individual who submitted the information, the restaurant was made aware of the issue and issued a refund along with an apology. The person who originally encountered the issue chose to remain anonymous.

The incident raises additional questions about food-safety practices at the Tarrant restaurant, particularly as customers await the establishment’s next health inspection.

American Ranch House previously received a health department score of 84. We are currently awaiting the restaurant’s updated Jefferson County Health Department inspection score to determine whether that score has changed following the previous inspection.

TARRANT, Ala. – Federal Court Enters Default Against Defendant, Officer Imani Dumas, in Bryon Snipe Lawsuit

A significant development has occurred in the federal lawsuit filed by Bryon Snipe against Tarrant Cop, Imani Dumas.

The case, Snipe v. Dumas, Case No. 2:26-cv-01313-ACA, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama on July 26, 2026. Court records identify the lawsuit as a civil-rights action brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.

On September 9, 2026, the federal court entered an Entry of Default against Dumas.

According to the court’s order, Dumas was properly served with the complaint and more than 21 days had passed without him filing an answer or otherwise responding to the lawsuit.

As a result, the court formally determined that Dumas is in default. The court specifically states that Snipe may recover from Dumas only such relief as Snipe proves to the court, along with applicable costs.

We previously mentioned how this officer was seemingly illegally hired by Chief Wendell Major according to public records.
