The international dive family is mourning one of its own. It is with great sadness we share the passing of Joe Porter of Wreck Diving Magazine. Joe has been a supporter of SUDS since the inception of our program, and losing him too soon is yet another reminder of the preciousness of life.
Joe was a familiar face at dive shows across the United States and his beautiful, award-winning magazine garnered worldwide accolades for its stunning photography and educational content.
To know Joe Porter was to know a compassionate, gentle soul with a loving and giving heart; a man who loved his wife Heidi of 45 years; and a man who valued family, friendship, and above all, faith.
Our prayers are with his family; may their happy memories be a source of comfort during this difficult time.
We’ll always remember you, Joe Porter.

We are so sad to hear about our friend Joe Porter passing away. He was a great person that really supported my career and published so many of my articles and images in his magazine Wreck Diving Magazine. I was fortunate to join him on an expedition to Japan in 2010 and we hit it off ever since. He will not be forgotten.

NEW VIDEO: Diving the Straits of Mackinac Shipwreck Preserve. These wrecks are in all in recreational depths and each has a lot to explore. The Brig Sandusky is the oldest wreck that sank in 1856. The SS Cedarville has a lot of history, as does the Eber Ward, William Young and other wrecks in the area. I'm looking forward to diving these wrecks again this summer.
⭐️Great news ⭐️ We've launched an apparel line in partnership with V***r Apparel and Altered Latitudes. The new product-line is being called "The Shipwrecked" series, and will initially feature three of the most iconic wrecks from our portfolio: KITTIWAKE (Grand Cayman), CAPTAIN KEITH TIBBETTS (Cayman Brac) and German U-boat wreck the U-352 (North Carolina).
The designs, which are printed on solar microfiber shirts and rash-guards, were launched last week at Florida’s Surf Expo 2020 in Orlando and got a great reception 🤙
This initiative is starting as a business-to-business venture, so a heads-up to dive centers in the Cayman Islands and North Carolina!
