Plush Humpback Chub Toy A unique plush fish toy of the west. We created other merchandise to raise funds when we were without financial partnerships.

During our Sharing Tails native Arizona fish program (https://www.marsheducation.org/), we created plastic fish toys to give free to students, and we estimate 36,000 students received one of these toys! In 2023, we created a 10" plush humpback chub prototype and attempted a fundraiser to cover the cost of toy production, but we were unsuccessful, and they were not produced. Now, I am bringing this toy into production through my company, Pacey Publishing LLC.

Marsh Education, Marsh & Associates, LLC and Plush Humpback Chub Toy partnered so I could attend the 45th Annual Researchers Meeting of the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program and the San Juan River Basin Recovery Implementation Program in Durango, CO last week! Before leaving AZ, I put out to the universe that I would appreciate it snowing after I left. Sooo close!!! Thank you to everyone that took home some of our goodies, and thank you for letting me sit in on the meeting!

Four million...

In 2015, Alaska's common murre seabird colonies fell eerily quiet. Working with partners, scientists at Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge have spent years documenting what happened next: the largest single-species wildlife die-off ever recorded in modern history.

Through long-term monitoring, we now know that approximately 4 million common murres—half of Alaska's population—starved during a severe marine heatwave. Seven years later, they haven't recovered. Read to learn more about this unprecedented event: Link to project page in the comments.

USPS rates went up in Oct and we just noticed today so our online prices had to go up a little bit too today. Hurry and buy all the toys so we don't have to worry about that happening anymore!!! And that said, we're sooooo close to 100 toys rehomed and THAT'S AWESOME!!! High five!!!
