I’m officially 3 MONTHS OLD!!! 🎂🎉

My mom says ONE more vet appointment and I’ll finally be STREET SAFE 😛 watch out world because I’m coming STRONGGG 💪💪

I have been doing so well and mom says I’m the smartest puppy on the block 😼 mom is so cool tbh..

I love playing with everything in sight, unfortunately that includes my raisers cats.. sorry new moon.. 😢 (note from raiser: yes we named our cat after twilight..)

Mom says I have ONE more full month to enjoy my time home and then I go out to the big world at college. I’m so excited to meet my new friends and sitters who will be helping mom on game days 🫶

I love sleeping. Literally best time of the day is sleep.. I also LOVEEE my crate. I STARTED TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT YAY! I started to run into my crate without command to eat my food and go into crate on command when it’s bedtime 👀👀

Anyways, that’s all for now. Ima go take a nap.. BUTTERNUT LOGGIN OUT 📝

Shout out to Tia Koch!!

Butternut got some socialization with dogs that aren’t living with her and did awesome! She is a very playful pup so obviously it comes with its changes. Dottie was the same height as her so it worked good! Ofc Dottie needed her space towards the end and butters needed to sleep!!

*Dottie is fully vaccinated and has no other pets living with her! She also wasn’t showing any sickness!*

Update for Butternut!!

🐕 Butternut has been learning Recall, Sit, Touch, Down, and Shake! She’s been doing really well, definitely not a pro (wouldn’t win the Olympics unfortunately) but she has been doing well with trying to be consistent!

🥜Butternut likes to wake me up at 6-7 AM everyday and try to make it playtime so I havent been getting the BEST sleep, she doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night as much it’s just really early that’s all! She is still learning that the crate is a good thing and is meant for her to relax.. she’s been doing better at it 😊

💥OUR FIRST OUTING: we went to my Therapy Appointment and she settled to a new environment so easily! I figured this would be a good place to start since it’s a small place and it’s only my therapist she’s interacting with. She slept the whole time! She was a little nervous but fell asleep and found comfort in it.

🏡 She tried the Gentle Leader for the first time and of course she didn’t like it.. but she did so good at listening to me and trying to learn the leader isn’t a bad thing!

🐶 she has her FIRST vet visit scheduled June 1st.. wish butternut luck on her first visit!!

Overall she did amazing at adjusting to my home and so excited for her 10 week birthday next week!

Butternut has been doing good at learning new skills such as sit, shake, touch and recall! She needs a little guidance for shake still but she has improved so much! She now gives me her paw but I just need to have my hand clamped in order for her to do it. Recall, she is a absolute pro at (as long as she’s not playful in the moment still working on that) sitting, she just is so good at auto sitting it like she’s a pro at it! Touch, she JUST learned and picked up so quickly on it.. IM SOOO proud of her and it’s been one full week since she’s been in my home and I’m so in love with her and her development!

Meet Butternut! 🧈🥜

My sweet little girl flying all the way from California to PA. She will be around till August 2027! I will be raising her in the NER for the summer and going to the NCR (University of Pittsburgh)- NOT raising with the Pitt club.

Butternut is going to do amazing things and we would love if you’d follow along on her journey to helping people!
