π―π₯ Honey Jerk Lamb Chops
Tender, juicy lamb chops coated in a sweet, spicy, garlicky jerk glaze.
Ingredients
8 lamb chops
2 tbsp jerk seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Β½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
Honey Jerk Glaze
ΒΌ cup honey
2 tbsp jerk sauce or jerk marinade
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp lime or lemon juice
3β4 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
Β½ tsp red pepper flakes β optional
Directions
1. Season the lamb: Pat lamb chops dry. Rub with olive oil, jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2β4 hours.
2. Make the glaze: Mix honey, jerk sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
3. Sear: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and sear lamb chops for about 3β4 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
4. Glaze: Lower the heat and pour the honey jerk mixture over the chops. Flip the chops several times, spooning the glaze over them until they're beautifully caramelized and sticky, about 2β3 minutes.
5. Check doneness: For food safety, cook lamb chops to at least 145Β°F internal temperature, then rest for 3 minutes.
6. Finish: Spoon the extra honey jerk glaze over the lamb and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
