Please my fellow moms... I need your help, my vg ( v. gina) has being scratching me, to the point if I want to take my bath, it will be paining me too much because of the injury and I am pregnant, I have gone to hospital even where I go for antenatal, the doctor said I should be managing it until I gives birth, that I should use water and salt to be cleaning it, am doing that both its not going, then I went to clinic the midwife gave me one powder like that to be rubbing it but It's still paining me. Please 🙏🙏I'm pleading for ur helps, if anyone has experience this help me.. What to use

Growing up, I never thought I'd attend school due to financial constraints. However, after high school, I took on manual jobs for two years, saving enough to fund my education.

A Shift in Plans
During my school days, I envisioned getting married at 25, working towards that goal by limiting my social circles. But life had other plans. My serious relationship leading to marriage began at 30.

Societal Expectations vs. Personal Expectations
Before then, I'd idealized my perfect man, marriage, and home based on societal standards. It wasn't until I drew a line between societal expectations and my own that things fell into place.

A Message for Single Ladies
To all the single ladies out there, don't get caught up in validating societal expectations. Take a step back, revisit your goals, and focus on what truly matters to you.

Reality Check
As a woman, your opportunities might be more abundant between 25-30, but it's essential to prioritize your own aspirations and timeline.

When I was growing up in Obollo-Eke, Nsukka part of Enugu Stat., there was a cultural practice that haunted my teenage years.

If a young girl got pregnant out of wedlock—and her parents couldn’t carry the burden—she wouldn’t be allowed to stay in her father’s house to have the baby. Instead, she could be quickly married off… not necessarily to the boy who got her pregnant, but to anyone available.

It could be:

a mentally unstable man,

an elderly man,

an impotent man who had never fathered a child,

or even a woman whose son had passed away.

The shocking part? Whoever she was handed over to automatically became the “father” of her child. The biological father could never claim the baby since he didn’t marry her.

And if she had no one to marry her, and ended up giving birth in her father’s house—then her father would claim ownership of the baby. The child would even bear her family’s surname.

This reality terrified me so much that as a teenager, I avoided men completely. I remember one of my friends who got pregnant at that age—she was actually married off to a woman because of this custom.

Looking back now, I still ask myself: is this practice something unique to Nsukka, or do other cultures have similar traditions?

Once upon a time in my life when i still single.... I met this guy and we got talking, one day he came to visit me on a Saturday, there was no light in the neighborhood so I had my generator on throughout the whole day, and the generator didn't blink.

So when he was leaving he told me plain that I am richer than him. He can't imagine having a generator on in day time but since I can afford this it's like a luxury to him and he wouldn't want to marry a woman richer than him. I thanked him for not deceiving me!
