One thing I’ve made sure to teach my son and his friends early in life…

Social media friends and followers are not real friends.

A lot of people — even family — will sit on your page watching everything you do. Watching your moves. Watching your growth. Watching your hustle.

But they won’t support you.
They won’t encourage you.
They won’t share your work.

And the truth is… a complete stranger will often support your grind before your own family does.

That’s a hard lesson, but it’s a real one.

So I tell them this all the time:

Don’t depend on people just because they share your blood.
Build your circle with the people who actually support you, respect your work, and want to see you win.

Because in this life, real family isn’t always blood. Real family is who stands with you.

That’s a lesson young people need to learn early.
