Updating builder grade mirrors with mirror frames.

These are from MirrorMate.

Despite some fit and finish concerns with one of the mirror frames, the finished product looks really good, and definitely adds a finishing touch.

There are some tips I can share if this is a project you'd like done or want to DIY.

I just uploaded a video to my YouTube Channel.

This one features a full color spectrum bulb you can install in existing landscape lighting fixtures.

The nice thing about these bulbs is that you don't need to replace the entire fixture.

These bulbs are great for holidays, or when you're trying to add some color to your yard at night.

Before you call me (or someone else) to replace your lamppost dusk to dawn sensor, thinking it's failed, first take a look at the socket.

These little bugs can accumulate to the point it interferes with the bulb's ability to make proper contact with the socket.

With the power off at the post, a Shop Vac can remove them, and save you a charge.

I just put a new video on my YouTube Channel on how to replace a backflow preventer on a spigot. I posted a similar video a year ago, but this is a quick update.

I've replaced more of these than I can count, as they are a constant source of complaints from homeowners tired of getting sprayed when they turn off their hoses.

If you need a backflow preventer replaced, consider upgrading your spigot at the same time. I have a video on that topic on my YouTube Channel as well.
