Welcome Back to School
Let’s Get Ready!
As children are beginning to head back into the classroom they will begin to face more challenges than ever before. While most children were easily able to transition from home to schoolroom, psychologists say that many might face separation anxiety and fear because they have forgotten what it’s like to be away from home and in a classroom setting with their peers.
My question for you is what can you do right now to prepare your child for classroom/school yard success? The answer is to teach them as many social/emotional problem solving tools and skills as possible.
Meet Stacey! She’s about your child’s age, has tons of energy and is excited and nervous to go back to school and reunite with her friends. But, Stacey has a dilemma. She sometimes misinterprets social/emotional cues while in class and on the play yard.
Our stories take place at school illustrating how young children learn to socialize. At the end of the book we help you, parents/teachers, by providing a page filled with problem solving questions that are developmentally appropriate for continued Social/Emotional/Educational growth.
Share Stacey’s learning experiences with your children to teach them how to solve problems by themselves. This way they can become confident, independent and successful individuals who can manage their emotions.

Here’s what readers have to say: “I’ve never written a book but would imagine that as the author you might like to hear the impact it had for my son. First, he immediately saw it in my hand when I got home and asked about it and said he would like to read it and that he liked the illustrations. We sat down and he read it to me and then at the end we went thru the discussion topics. As a result, he opened up to me about some of his social situations at school and I encouraged him that it’s great to talk to him about that kind of stuff. I can’t wait to read it again tonight and have another discussion. Thank you so much for all that you do to help children, this is so important and as we discussed most of us simply do not have the tools.” –Jennifer D.
"This is an amazing book that all parents should have read and discussed with their children and grandchildren
Cannot EMPHASIZE this enough- if more parents would discuss this with their children we would be raising better kids." -Sheelah H.
