On December 8, 2025, FCSO deputies responded to the Aldi on Urban Pike after multiple 911 calls reported a man destroying property, blocking customers from leaving, and causing panic inside the store.

Deputies quickly located the individual, identified as 36-year-old Travis Bowie of Frederick, and took him into custody after he resisted and continued acting disorderly.

Bowie was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He faces multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering, failure to obey, disturbing the peace, and malicious destruction of property.

We are grateful for the quick response of our deputies and the assistance of store staff and witnesses during this incident.

On December 6, 2025, a FCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on Mt. Zion Road near Route 180 after observing a vehicle with a broken taillight and no functioning passenger brake light. During the stop, the driver, 18-year-old Christian Foster, stepped out of the vehicle, and the deputy noticed an extended magazine protruding from his waistband.

The deputy immediately secured a handgun from Foster, later identified as a stolen Sig 365 reported out of Pennsylvania. The firearm contained multiple rounds in the magazine.

Foster was taken into custody and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center Central Booking.
