I had started with the intention of writing a big post talking about what's been happening (not much), how much video I've recorded (a lot), and what the plans are for this project in 2025 (I have no idea)...then I realized that it was almost midnight.

Long story short, I've filmed a sh*tload of material between October and December. The good news is that I just need to subtitle, edit, process, etc. it to get it ready for upload. The bad news is that it's all just random bits and pieces ranging from me wandering around the new neighbourhood in the lead up to Halloween, to walking around Cocoa Village with my wee mammie, so it's kinda all over the place.

Aside from the near universal stresses of family visits, Christmas and the New Year, me and Mrs Scotsman are doing great and have continued working on refurbishing this trailer. That takes up pretty much all of our free time (aside from thrift stores, obviously), and it's hard to get motivated to sit in front of a laptop or phone, chopping up videos and having to look at your own face for hours.

I'll endeavour to post more regularly, since you lovely people have taken the time to follow the page. As mentioned, the refurbishment takes up a lot of time, and it's in no fit state to even show to the public yet, so I'll get something uploaded soon.

I realized how long it had been since I'd posted and thought I'd better poke my head out of the water, provide a wee update, and confirm that, contrary to the recent headlines, I am indeed alive and well.

Stay tuned, or at least vaguely inclined towards the frequency.

A belated Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🇺🇸

This was my first Thanksgiving as a legal resident of the USA, but Mrs Scotsman was working and so we celebrated with leftovers. I give thanks every day anyway for the amazing people in my life, and for the opportunity to have this adventure and share it with yourselves!

I haven't posted anything for a while as we've been a bit busier than usual lately. As well as working on refurbishing the trailer and doing all the usual day-to-day stuff, we had the pleasure of a visit from my wee brother for a couple of days! Guess which one he is in this picture... 😂

He's been up in the Georgia visiting his friend of almost 20 years, who he'd never actually met in person until now. They drove down to hang out for a few days, but we didn't really do anything video-worthy. We did, however, eat soul food, smoke ci**rs, make an arse of ourselves at karaoke, and generally engage in mischief and shenanigans until they had to get back on the road.

I still haven't finished editing the second part of the last video, largely because I don't like looking at myself for any length of time. I had even filmed a whole other video while walking around the new area, but I'll probably scrap that one and make a new one as, if I remember, it wasn't particularly interesting anyway.

I just wanted to post a wee update so that the page isn't swallowed into the abyss, and to say that I haven't done my usual and abandoned the project after I got bored. 😂

On Monday the 11th of November 2024, I officially became a legal resident of the United States of America. After nine long and eventful months, we could finally breathe a sigh of relief and begin to map out the next step in our stateside adventure.

We submitted our paperwork at the end of February this year, so our journey from beginning to end was relatively quick. We had mentally prepared to be waiting at least 18 months, and maybe even up to three years based on what we'd read online!

To be relieved of that sense of uncertainty so quickly, and to know that I'll be able to take some of the financial weight from my wife - who has paid for EVERYTHING and supported me since I arrived - feels good, Speaking of my wife...

Kimberly McNally, the one and only Mrs Scotsman, is not just my wife, she's my world; my best friend, lover, collaborator, conspirator, and confidante. Without her, none of this, not even this post I'm writing right now, would have happened. I have no words to truly express the depth of my gratitude and appreciation for everything she's done for me. Thank you for being you, my love. 🖤

Anyhow, before you all grab the sick bags and unfollow the page, I'll sign off for now. I know most of you via my personal page, so you probably already know about all of this; but I wanted to post something on the page so that there's a chronological record of when and where, etc.

I'm still editing the second part of the latest video, but renovating a trailer kinda kicks your ass...😂

Mrs Scotsman and I laugh a lot. A LOT. Whether it's a hurricane, collapsing ceilings, moving house, me stabbing myself through the foot with a rusty knife, or the blown out tire on our new trailer last night, it always turns into hilarity. 😂

We've now completely moved into our new place, so the next step is to begin the refurbishment process. The place looks like a bombsite at the moment, but we'll figure it out as we go...probably.

In between moving, we also met up with some friends and went to a really cool wee farm nearby to see some Highland cows. I grabbed plenty of video at various points over the last few days, so I'm taking a break from moving heavy stuff and will get working on a new upload!
