It's been a full day! We did a little backtracking to Frederick, Maryland, a quaint little town filled with restaurants and shops. We finished the day at the beautiful Hershey Hotel for a Guinness. We had LOTS of laughs with our dear friends John Reese Hoppenjans and Birgit Hoppenjans. Tomorrow we will put on our winter coats 🥴 and get on the road again. We are almost home!❤️

It's been a full day! We did a little backtracking to Frederick, Maryland, a quaint little town filled with restaurants and shops. As we always do, we finished the day at the beautiful Hershey Hotel for a Guinness. We had LOTS of laughs with our dear friends John Reese Hoppenjans and Birgit Hoppenjans. Tomorrow we will put on our winter coats 🥴 and get on the road again. We are almost home!❤️

We have entered our seventh state in just two days, taking the scenic route along Route 81 through the mountains. Beautiful views! We will stop over in Pennsylvania for a couple of nights to visit friends and take our (almost) annual trip to the Hershey Hotel. ❤️

Orlando, Florida, was great for a few days exploring the complimentary areas of Disney, meeting up with one of our camping buddies, Cheryl Piscitelli Mitchell, and celebrating Dave's birthday! Our accommodations were awesome at another hidden gem, Bill Frederick Park, a small campground within a beautiful Orlando county park. Today we are back on the road, beginning the push back to New England, but will make a few stops along the way to visit family and friends. ❤️ We will try to bring the warm weather with us! ☀️

Upon arriving in Orlando yesterday, we explored Universal Studio CityWalk. With no prior knowledge of what to expect, aside from complimentary admission, we were delighted by the experience. If you desire the Universal ambiance without the expense of park admission, we highly recommend visiting. The complex features numerous restaurants, live music, beautifully landscaped grounds, and optional activities. The dueling pianos were a highlight. Today, we will visit Disney Springs, another complimentary adventure.

Our time in St. Pete has come to an end. We discovered Pass A Grille Beach, a quaint beach community severely impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The locals have demonstrated remarkable resilience, and life is gradually returning to normal there. We also had the opportunity to visit friends in Gulfport, FL, another area hit by the hurricanes, where we attended a locals' night featuring vendors and live music that lined the streets. Thank you to Jim and Kathy Henderson for hosting us. Yesterday, thanks to our friends Bob and Kim, we spent the day at TradeWinds Resort in downtown St. Pete's, where we enjoyed the surf, a massive inflatable water slide that we couldn't resist trying, and plenty of laughs! We finished out the day with dinner on the bay at Red, White and Booze in Pass A Grille, driving by interesting lawn ornaments on our way out. It was a busy five days, and after a short travel day, we have moved a little further north to the Orlando area and have already been visited by a local raccoon. Happy Sunday everyone! 😳
