the Toledo Walleye season came to an end yesterday, so I finished up the blanket I made for the season!! I did two rows for each game, blue for wins & gold for losses. the white rows signify the start of playoffs/each round of playoffs. I went in and added a white border too. I had so much fun making this blanket, but I had even more fun supporting such a great team. they fought hard for each win, and being in the stands rooting them on were some of my favorite memories of the year!
This is a single crochet, ribbed, chevron pattern. I like how it turned out, but will definitely be making it wider if I make something like this again!

over the last few years I’ve been seeing people crocheting blankets to document something throughout the year. I’ve seen weather, books, events, sports scores. So, in an effort to have a continuous ongoing project, and after moving downtown this year, I decided to make one of the toledo walleye season!
halfway through the season, 36 games in, with blue signifying wins and the yellow/gold signifying losses! I’m excited to see what the second half looks like (hopefully lots of big blue sections!)

I’ve really been enjoying stepping out of my comfort zone and pursuing more opportunities like this! I’ve learned a lot, and I’m still learning (like figuring out how to improve facebook upload quality 😂)
