Hello all, last weekend we lost Toledo Radio legend and 98.7 Towpath Radio DJ Bill Michaels. Bill had been in Toledo radio in some way, shape, or form over the last 30 years. You probably heard him on WIOT, Kiss-FM, WXKR, and more recently he contributed his talents to 98.7 Towpath Radio, the flagship of our small radio/ streaming group.

Today on 98.7 Towpath Radio we're going to honor Bill with one last show. At noon and 5 we're blasting all Van Halen in honor of Bill. Van Halen was his favorite band so we find it fitting that we rock as hard as we can.

Remembering a Northwest Ohio broadcast legend.

Bill Michaels, longtime Toledo radio voice and Towpath Radio host, has passed away peacefully. From 92.5 Kiss FM to Northern Michigan and finally Towpath, his legacy lives on.

Wow. This is really sad. An incident that backed up traffic on US 24 yesterday caused a chain reaction that killed 2 young men from Perrysburg and Maumee.

A police chase and a crash hours apart on US 24 near Napoleon took three lives Wednesday.
