Nick Corbin Productions Video and music production studio based in Toledo, Nick Corbin Productions is a full service digital video studio.

Founded in 2010 as an independent film company, Nick Corbin Productions has since expanded to encompass all areas of video production. We produce commercials for local businesses, create training materials, shoot music videos and live performances, and has filmed or helped produce every video for Smashing Toledo since January 2014.

WE WON A MOSIAC AWARD!

Crazy to say, but the documentary I worked on for a year for TMA won Nick Corbin Productions a Mosaic award from the American Advertising Federation!

"The AAF Toledo’s Mosaic Awards recognize agencies and individuals whose commitment to diversity and inclusion are evident through their creative work and organization-wide initiatives."

Massive honor and a great recognition of not only the work so many people put into this, but also the amazing advances the TMA is making towards ensuring access for all.

This video is a comedic "mockumentary" style promo featuring Nick Corbin, who had been named "Runner Up" for Toledo’s Best Filmmaker in 2019. The video is edited with a lo-fi, VHS-inspired aesthetic, including tracking lines, static, and a "PLAY" overlay. Throughout the clip, every time Nick tries to claim he was voted "Toledo's Best Filmmaker," a computerized voice cuts in to clarify he was actually the "Runner Up." Nick humorously claims his success is due to his connections with stars like Frank Stallone, Sean Penn, and Eric Roberts. He even includes a poorly cropped image of the musician Sting. He jokes about moving to Hollywood, accompanied by a quick, grainy clip of a classic Hollywood street scene. To demonstrate his filmmaking prowess, Nick "showcases" several intentionally amateur digital effects, including a small emoji-style cloud and a flickering fire icon appearing in his hand. The video ends with a retro, colorful graphic featuring Nick's face and the title "Runner Up Movie Man."

10 years ago! This was one of the first "major" public screenings of "Reclaiming Spaces" (my documentary about the revitalization of downtown Toledo). Essentially every major non-profit and institution in downtown Toledo contributed to this-whether with time or funding. I wouldn't be where I am without this documentary.
