IT'S GAME DAY! 🏈

It is going to be a frigid one. Snow showers move in this afternoon and road conditions will quickly deteriorate this evening. Heavy snow continues tonight causing several inches of accumulation by early tomorrow morning.

Blowing snow is a concern for your Sunday, limiting visibility. Limit travel, but if you need to... drive very carefully, slowly, and leave plenty of driving distance.

**Breaking** First Winter Storm Warning in nearly 3 years issued for Toledo. Winter Weather Advisories issued southeast of Toledo. The National Weather Service is currently working on issuing a warning and advisory north of the state line. So look for that update soon. No change in the forecast. Heavy snow is likely tomorrow night. 3-5” of snow is expected for most, 5-8” northwest of Toledo, 2-3” in our eastern counties.

**Update** Seconds after I posted this, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Lenawee County, and a Winter Weather Advisory for Monroe County.

*The last Winter Storm Warning in Toledo was January 25-26th 2023.

**Weekend Snowstorm Update (Friday 7am)**

Are you excited for the snow? Today is the day to make sure the snow blower works, and that you have a sturdy shovel and salt.

*What Has Changed*
Very little has changed in that forecast over the past 24 hours. We are seeing some evidence for slightly higher snow totals in the heaviest snow band in the northwest part of the area.

*Timeline*
8am Sat - 2pm Sat: No Snow, Roads Are Clear...Great Travel
2pm Sat - 7pm Sat: Light Snow, Minor Slow Downs...Fair Travel
7pm Sat - 7am Sun: Heavy Snow, Major Slow Downs...Poor Travel
7am Sun - Noon Sun: Light Rain/Snow, Roads Thaw, Travel Slowly Improves

*Totals*
Snow totals will be lowest where some rain tries to mix in on Sunday morning. This is most likely in our eastern counties. Tiffin, and Norwalk are expected to get about 2-3" of snow. Findlay, Fremont, and Port Clinton are expected to get about 3" of snow. 3-5" of snow is expected in most of the area including Monroe, Toledo, Bowling Green, Napoleon, and Ottawa. 5-8" of snow is possible in Hillsdale, Lenawee, Williams, and Fulton Counties. If the storm drifts north or south, these totals could change. Regardless, we will keep you posted with those totals and the storm timeline.

Keep this in mind if you are heading out to the east!❄️
