Black History Month may be coming to an end, but the importance of Black voices in media is year-round. We want to celebrate the Black history at WHUS. In the 1970s, WHUS began the Black media program, the position of the Black Programming Director and the 1974 Black Student Sit-In occurred.
The WHUS archive has been recently updated with more of our Black history. https://archive.whus.org/?page_id=2858
A huge thank you to the African American Cultural Center Archives and Graham Stinnet of d’Archive for resources.
